looking for a Classic Swan ?
S/Y Galadriel is one of 50 "Swan53" designed by GERMAN FRERS and produced by Nautor's in Finland in the late 1980's. One of the latest models of the series, hull number 046, she was built with racing cruising specs: three spreaders mast and a deep centerboard keel. Launched in 1992 she took part to the most prestigious races in the Mediterranean, winning the Nioulargue in 1993 and the Copa del Rey in 1994, and taking part to five Swan World Cups in Porto Cervo. From 2002 she cruised for 10 years in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific Ocean. She returned to the Mediterranean in 2012 and she enjoys her veteran age sailing again in home waters in Porto Cervo, Costa Smeralda.

SOLE OWNER since 1992
a word from the Skipper
I always loved the idea to be the custodian of an extraordinary object built by master craftsmen that embodies traditional and historical values, but when purchasing the Swan 53 from Nautor back in 1992 I did not know the decision would have changed my life. To list all the reasons that led me to dedicate more than 30 years to the passion for cruising and offshore sailing would be too long but certainly without such a well conceived, powerful and reliable ocean cruiser capable of interpreting the sea and leading safely, my journey would have been much shorter and today I would be a very different man.

on the wings of the Swan
As a loving caring skipper I have always been aboard my yacht during each single navigation, in any conditions at any cost, and I have always personally supervised every type of maintenance carried on board thus making Galadriel a happy boat. She has also experienced the priceless pleasure of being helmed by professionals and technicians of superior sensitivity, olympic and ocean sailors of top level such as Victor Kovalenko, Craig Ferris, Stefano Rizzi, Gabriele and Francesco Bruni, Peter Britt, Beppe Zaoli and Daniele Tosato, who have always been capable to express to the fullest her qualities of prowess, speed, safety and comfort.

mark Roundings
The yacht has always been regularly maintained according to the philosophy of conservative restoration. After thirty years, despite the remarkable preservation of the interior, the teak deck had become thin, and corrosion threatened the steel frame supporting the keel and mast. In May 2005, Galadriel entered the Scarlino shipyard at Nautor Swan Global Service Italy for a complete refit of deck and rigging and to replace the metal frame with a new, specially redesigned composite structure. An essential and complex rebirth project undertaken and certified by skilled technicians. The next goal is to participate to the 60th anniversary celebrations of Nautor Swan at the Rolex Swan Cup in 2026.
